Tiago Sabarigo, Chef and Owner, born in Évora, Portugal, where he studied and started to work in hospitality. Tiago worked at prestigious and high quality places such as Ritz Four Seasons in Lisbon, Petrus by Gordon Ramsay, Texture Restaurant & Champagne Bar and Costes Downtown. Tiago's kitchen features the harmony, balance with a different combinations of flavors and textures. Since 5 years in Budapest, Tiago along side with his wife, Éva, planned a new project by the name of Essencia.

The passion of hospitality comes from her childhood, so it was never a question to work in this area.Her professional education started in international luxury hotels, and after spending 10 years in front of house positions, she left the world of hotels for a dream with his husband, Tiago- which is Essencia Restaurant. In Essencia as private dining and reservations manager she is ensuring a flawless, high-class, and unique dining experience.

He is in charge of the operative works of the restaurant. He has been working in the profession for 8 years, always interested in the world of restaurant and cuisine. Despite his young age, he developed his professional skills in several domestic and international hotels and restaurants. Among others, Mohonk Mountain House luxury resort - New York, Costes Downtown, Costes Restaurant - Budapest. ”My goal is to create a successful restaurant and a workplace where guests and also the employees are having a good time``

It has been 15 years since I started to work in hospitality . I have been interested in the wold of kitchen since I was a child. I gained my experience in France in an excellent confectionery and numerous restaurants. Then my career curved all the way up to the Michelin-starred Costes downtown sous-chef and head chef position. My greatest pride is my wife and my two little sons, who are always by my side in the challenging hospitality business.
